About

About Us

My name is Fiaz Syed and I am a psychiatric social worker (PSW) for the Los Angeles Unified School District. For the past 15 plus years I have worked extensively with children and families in the school and community setting to help in overcoming social and emotional barriers.

I received my Master's in Social Welfare at USC Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) through the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

My family and I migrated to the US from Hyderabad, India and settled in the San Fernando Valley when I was only 9 months old. I am proud to say that I'm a "Valley Boy".

My name is Mayra Villa and I am a Psychiatric Social Worker (PSW) for the Los Angeles Unified School District. I've been working in the field of social work since 2010 and have extensively worked with children and families in the school and community setting to help in overcoming social and emotional barriers.

I received my Master's in Social Work at Cal State Northridge and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) through the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

From the age of 5-10 I lived with my family in Michoacan, Mexico. I am bilingual in Spanish and enjoy working with students and their families.
